Here's another attempt at photorealism. I wanted to play around with light and water.

Media: Copic markers on watercolor paper
Reference used: my own photograph

The dramatic orange of the pumpkin is lovely against the gray scale background. The shadows and the grooves are excellently done, and the water drop is beautiful to look at, even though it's not all that big.

Thank you! This piece is the one that helped me realize I really love drawing and painting water drops. :)

wow, that is really pretty cool :)
May I ask which orange color numbers you used for the pumpkin? I like the color a lot.

Thanks! Sure :)
The oranges are YR04 and YR07. Since those are the only 2 oranges I have, I used a lot of colorless blender and a mix of W3, W5, E27, and E29. It was pretty stressful sometimes trying get it the way I wanted it to look, but in the end I think it paid off.

Yes, sometimes the layering does not go as easy as planned, but you manage it very very well.
